You start each day like a brand new battery, full of energy and potential, as the day rolls on activities drain your power, some more than others. Before you know it you’ve reached the end of the day empty and ready for a recharge (sleep) but maybe tonight you don’t get as much sleep as you want/need.

Then tomorrow you wake up and your battery is only 95% recharged, and before you know it your activities are mounting up, and sleep becomes as elusive as water in the desert.

You’re lucky if your battery runs at 50% most days…you begin living for the weekends and holidays so you can catch up on your sleep.

It doesn’t have to be this way, a balanced life is essential for personal health, peace of mind and sound decision making.

There will always be something that needs to be done, a deadline that has to be met, calls that need to be returned and house chores that need doing.

The challenge is how to balance what MUST be done with what you WANT to do.

Which is often easier said than done, however, the kind of lifestyle described above has major consequences, in the long run, burnouts, breakdowns and breakups. There is only so long anyone can continue to rob Peter to pay Paul.

Here are 4 questions you can use to help you create your balanced life:

    1. Identify how you are spending your daily allocation of 24 hours (where is all your time going)?
