There is no doubt about it, books change lives and readers are the leaders in life! Halfway through last year, I started the Success by Design Book Club in my free online Facebook Community.

We meet up each month in person and online to discuss our thoughts/breakthroughs from each of the 5 books listed below.

Each book resonated with different members of the community in different ways, with some experiencing life-changing results by applying what they learned from the books to their business/life!

How do you like to read books?

I love to listen to books on my Audible Account, and my top time hack is to listen to them at 1.25 speed, so I can read one new book a month. I also like to buy books on my Kindle so that I always have a book with me to refer to on the go.

These days I only buy the hard copy version if I loved it on Audible or Kindle, they cost trees and take up so much shelf space! But everyone is different what format do you prefer?

Below are the 5 books we read in the Success by Design Book Club last year, along with a short description about each book.

The order of the books is deliberate, we started with mindset, moved onto action strategies and then took the lid off our upper limit.

1. You Are A Badass

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero helps you become self-aware, figure out what you want in life and then summon the guts to not worry about the how to kick others’ opinions to the curb and focus your life on the thing that will make you happy.*

2. The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck

The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson does away with the positive psychology craze to instead give you a Stoic, no bullshit approach to living a life that might not always be happy, but meaningful and centered only around what’s important to you.*

3. Who Moved My Cheese

Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson tells a parable, which you can directly apply to your own life, in order to stop fearing what lies ahead and instead thrive in an environment of change and uncertainty.*

4. The 5 Second Rule

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins is a simple tool that undercuts most of the psychological weapons your brain employs to keep you from taking action, which will allow you to procrastinate less, live happier and reach your goals.*

5. The Big Leap

The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks is about changing your overall perspective, so you can embrace a philosophy that’ll help you achieve your full potential in work, relationships, finance, and all other walks of life.*
