The no 1. Reason you’re Overwhelmed & what to do about it!

⏰ No one is born a time management expert, but anyone can get organised, you don’t have to live feeling overwhelmed, in chaos or a perpetual state of busy.

What you need is a Time Allocation Strategy.

With a growth mindset you can go from believing there’s not enough time to get everything done and that you must choose one activity over another, to using a Time Allocation Strategy, seeing all the options available and choosing the one that makes the best use of your time (and allocating accordingly).

WHEN SIMPLE IS BEST

It may seem like an overly simple answer to something that in most cases could be causing you an immense amount of stress on a daily basis.

It’s for this exact reason that you’re unable to see the options available to you.

Stress and brain freeze is the result of poor decision-making – which leads to panic and worse decision-making (you’ve activated fight & flight, switched on your sympathetic nervous system) and got yourself into a self-fulfilling loop of doom!

Decisions made from a place of good time management lead to less stress and greater life satisfaction (where you’re operating from the para-sympathetic nervous system) and you’re in the loop of the better it gets, the better it gets.

“Until we can manage our time, we can manage nothing else.” Peter F Drucker

TIME AS AN ASSET CLASS

People work better and most efficiently when they feel like they’re on top of things, they have a plan and they are following it.

They understand that spending time working on this plan is time well spent, and will provide them with a huge return on their investment.

Allowing them to be less stressed, and more clear-headed in their decision making and better able to manage their time, and not be managed by it.

This kind of organisation frees up mental space by getting on top of the confusion, lack of clarity and direction.

BENEFITS OF A TIME ALLOCATION STRATEGY

A Time Allocation Strategy is about choosing to focus on the end results and the benefits of investing your time into planning (allocating) and goal setting.

Start by asking yourself, is this the best use of my time, will this activity get me closer to my end goal or further away?

Q. What’s your biggest Time Management challenge right now?

The most common answers I get to this question are:

⏰ Too many things to do

⏰ Not enough time to plan

⏰ No idea where to start planning

⏰ I’m tired, burned out, overwhelmed

⏰ I am barely keeping it together

Q. What’s it costing you not to be on top of your Time Management right now?
